Improving your landscape photography – Snowdonia National Park
My half and full day workshops are one to one or small group (maximum 3 people) and will enable you to move away from taking ’snap shots’ to creating fully realised landscape photographs.
What you will learn

How to take control of your camera in manual mode
An understanding of composition and ‘seeing’ a great shot
The use of filters to balance exposure
Controlling depth of field and achieving ‘front to back’ sharpness
Using the histogram to achieve perfect exposure
Taking readings from your camera’s metering system
How ISO, shutter speed and aperture combine to create a good exposure
What to bring
Tripod (I have a number of tripods to loan out if you haven’t got your own)
DSLR or compact camera with full manual mode
Any filters you may have
Sturdy footwear, water proof jacket, hat, gloves and a suitable bag/rucksack
Sense of humour (optional)
When and Where
The workshops take place in Snowdonia National Park
Based at the popular Moel Siabod Café you’ll get to grips with planning a shoot before heading off to a number of stunning locations for a half day of practical tuition, covering manual camera settings, exposure and composition followed by lunch at the ‘Siabod’ and a post processing session to add that final polish to your images.
I have dates all through the year so feel free to contact me (through the contact page on this site) so we can plan a workshop that suits you.
£75 per person all inclusive for one to one tuition. £50 per person for groups of three.
